JENSEN TEAM STARTS 2025 FORMULA REGIONAL AMERICAS SEASON WITH A PAIR OF RETURNING DRIVERS

Bright sunshine and warm weather are rare forecasts in the heart of American winter, so Miami is one of few ideal destinations for pre-season testing and racing activities.

2025 season kicks off with added enthusiasm for the JENSEN team that will return to compete full-time in the Formula Regional Americas Championship. As part of the team's extensive winter testing plan, sophomore team drivers Jake Pollack and Athan Sterling will gain additional competition experience racing the team's Ligier F3 cars in the SCCA National races at Homestead Miami Speedway in early January.

The team enjoyed considerable success in the 2023 Formula Regional Americas season, JENSEN finished 2nd in the team championship highlighted with lead driver Oliver Westling scoring a pair of race wins at New Jersey Motorsports Park and the season finale at the Austin F1 circuit.

JENSEN team focus during the 2024 season was developing a long list of new drivers who were on a variety of testing and racing programs competing in the various regional F4 series across the country, The team did enjoy immediate success returning to the FR Americas category scoring a podium and two 5th place finishes with Danish rookie Theodor Jensen driving the team's #1 Ligier F3 car at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway event in June.

Jake Pollack will be driving the JENSEN team's #1 Ligier F3 race car for the Miami race weekend, as well as the full 2025 Formula Regional Americas season. 18 year old Jake lives in San Antonio Texas, and enjoyed a very successful rookie season as part of his JENSEN young driver development program. Jake competed in four championships during the year, scoring two podiums in the Ligier JS F4 Championships, as well as a pair of race wins competing in the F3 California series.

Athan Sterling will be driving the JENSEN team's #2 Ligier F3 race car for the Miami race weekend, with a view to graduating to race full-time in the 2025 Formula Regional Americas Championship. 18 year old Athan lives near Cleveland Ohio, and likewise enjoyed a very successful rookie season as part of his JENSEN young driver development program. Athan competed in three championships during the year, highlighted by six podiums competing in the F4 California series where he finished 4th in the season point standings.

Team owner and mentor Eric Jensen stated, "It's a long and often thankless process developing young race car drivers, but the reward of achieving real accomplishment ultimately makes the challenge very fulfilling. Most importantly both Jake and Athan are terrific young men, and it's exciting to see what they are capable of when the lights are shining brightest during race competition on Sundays."
